Pine International School at the 2026 World Scholar’s Cup Kampala Round

KAMPALA, UGANDA – Pine International School is officially on the map! In a landmark moment for our institution, a delegation of our bright scholars recently participated in the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) – Kampala Round 2026, held at Acorns International School.
The World Scholar’s Cup is an international team academic program that brings together students from different backgrounds to celebrate the joy of learning. This year’s regional round saw hundreds of students from across Uganda engage in rigorous challenges, including Collaborative Writing, the Scholar’s Challenge, Team Debate, and the famous Scholar’s Bowl.

A Milestone for Pine International School
For many of our students, this was their first time participating in a global academic competition of this scale. Speaking from the event, student representative Enayah Birungi Juma highlighted the significance of the experience:
“I think this is a big opportunity for us as Pine International School because it’s our first time doing something like this. It’s something big for us… I guess it’s going to put us on the map.” ENAYAH JUMA
Beyond the trophies and medals, ENAYAH emphasized the personal growth that comes with such an event, noting that it provided a unique chance to network and meet peers from other international schools.

Learning, Growing, and Leading
Participation in the WSC aligns perfectly with our school’s core mission: Learn. Grow. Lead. Our scholars weren’t just testing their knowledge; they were building critical thinking skills, practicing public speaking, and fostering a spirit of teamwork.

The atmosphere at the Kampala Round was electric, filled with intellectual curiosity and the shared goal of qualifying for the Global Round. Our students showed incredible resilience and spirit throughout the challenges, proving that Pine International School produces scholars who are ready to compete on the world stage.
Looking Ahead
We are incredibly proud of our team for their hard work and dedication. As we await the final point tallies, our eyes are firmly set on the future. The experience gained at the Kampala Round has provided our students with the confidence and motivation to aim even higher.

Join us in congratulating our scholars for representing Pine International School with such excellence!

Pine International School Shines at Uganda Aquatics National Gala
March 28, 2026 — It was a day of triumph and exceptional sportsmanship as the Pine International School swimming team took to the water at the Uganda Aquatics National Secondary Schools Gala 2026. Hosted at Greenhill Academy in Kibuli, the event brought together the finest young swimmers from across the country for a day of intense competition.
Our athletes rose to the occasion, demonstrating the hard work, discipline, and passion they have poured into their training sessions. We are thrilled to announce that our team returned home with an impressive haul of two Gold medals and two Silver medals.

The atmosphere at Greenhill Academy was electric, with schools vying for top honors in a variety of strokes and distances. Our swimmers not only achieved personal bests but also displayed remarkable composure on the national stage.

The two Gold medals stand as a testament to our students’ drive for excellence, while the two Silver medals highlight the depth of talent and competitive spirit within our swimming program.
A Word of Pride
As a school community, we couldn’t be proud of our team’s performance. Beyond the medals, the way our students represented Pine International cheering on their teammates and respecting their fellow competitors was truly inspiring.

“Our swimmers have shown that with dedication and consistency, great results follow. This achievement is a win for the entire Pine International family,” said the school’s sports department.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the coaches for their guidance and to the parents for their unwavering support throughout the season.

Digital Democracy: Pine International School Students Cast Their Votes
On March 17th and 18th, the halls of Pine International School were filled with the spirit of democracy as students headed to the polls for our highly anticipated annual elections. Students across various levels exercised their right to vote, selecting the leaders who will represent them for the upcoming academic year.

Innovation at the Polls
This year, Pine International School embraced the future by conducting a fully digital election. This tech-forward approach provided a seamless experience for our voters and ensured total transparency. One of the most exciting features was the live results tracking, which allowed candidates and students to view real-time updates as votes were cast.

Nurturing Future Leaders
At Pine International, we believe that “Leadership comes from God.” We view these elections as more than just a process; they are a vital part of our mission to nurture students into responsible, service-oriented citizens. By participating in this democratic exercise, our students learn the value of integrity, accountability, and the importance of performing their best to serve their community.

We congratulate all the candidates who contested and look forward to seeing our new student leaders flourish in their roles!

My Easter Story ( Arinda Eliwin Year 11 )
"When it comes to easter, many Infamous legends are told the easter bunny, the legend of the red egg, the easter chick. But only one true story is really told… just one, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Roughly two thousand years ago, out of his profound love for us, God sent his son his only son to earth. He was to die for us and set us free from savage life and the snares of the devil. Easter is a highly cherished celebration for Christians around the world, a second chance for the world and for a new life, a mark that shines with hope for redemption. It symbolises joy and instils a remarkable power to reject the cajolery of the devil. It gives people scrupulous mindsets and a bizarre will to follow Christ – even if temporarily. Believers will gather in churches, they will pray, they will sing and dance and forget all their worries as they reflect on the sacrifice Jesus made for humanity. Traditions such as decorating eggs, sharing meals and giving gifts adds joy and togetherness to the season. The easter story reminds people of love, forgiveness, and new beginnings, encouraging them to live with faith and compassion every day. It touches people’s hearts, refuting all evil and inviting individuals to examine their faith and compassion, every day is a journey to strength their spiritual connection and Easter emphasise that – compelling people to support one another with kindness and generosity."

My Easter Story ( Mirembe Esther Vanessa Year 12 September )
"The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the most significant seasons of all. A day when the ultimate testament of love was proclaimed, right from the moment the Heavens held their breath as a saviour was desperately awaited on earth, to the point where the son of God had to endure physical torture from the very people He came to save. Behind closed doors we were on His mind the whole time and in the end, the Glory that followed was and still is by far much greater than all the suffering. Easter is not only about the outits, performance, the food, nor the joy that comes with it, but a reminder of Christ's love for all. A reminder that through His pain we live happily; a message of hope and a new beginning for the entire universe. Not forgetting the moments of laughter during producton rehearsals, the nervousness before going on stage and the huge sense of pride when it all comes together. Everyone who gathers to watch, cheer and support making it an even more special experience that leaves lasting memories yet highlighting the true definiton of love and sacrifice. That's Easter to me."

My Easter Story ( Kirabo Kaelyn Year 6 )
"Easter is a profound reminder that Jesus rose from the grave after giving His life for our sins. Even though we fall short, God’s love is so immense that He sent His only Son to save us. Today, we celebrate His victory and give thanks for His grace. As John 3:16 promises, those who believe in Him gain eternal life. Brothers and sisters, let us commit to reading the Word, trusting in God, and carrying the love of Christ in our hearts. Wishing you all a very Happy Easter!"

My Easter Story ( Eliana Kirabo Tendo Year 5 )
"Easter is a time to honor God's love and the selfless journey of Jesus Christ. He entered Jerusalem in humility, suffered a crown of thorns, and was crucified despite His innocence all to offer us salvation. He rose again, and through Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter weekend, we celebrate His victory over death. We may not be able to repay Him, but we can honor Him by trusting in His plan and sharing the joy He has given us. Happy Easter!"
